Cut, Engrave, Create
Bellevue Fine Art Repro is now offering laser cutting and laser engraving services on a variety of substrates,
giving artists the tools to make a wider variety of creations with their ideas. Giclée
printing can be combined with laser cutting to create unique products and works of art, or as a stand alone service to
create art and crafts, or as part of the process of art creation.
What Can I Make?
The sky is the limit, and we couldn't list all the possible uses here, but... etched wine glasses, cut acrylic jewelry, drawings etched in
wood and glass, paper cut artwork, intricately cut paper cards, contour cut stickers, contour cut artwork, pre-cut shapes of Masonite for
painting panels, leather-work, felt fabric cutting, paper cut objects, mobiles, spray paint masks, cut linoleum for block prints, etching
wood for block prints, etched glass for cabinets and custom picture framing, custom cut lettering and signs, logos, 3D designs...
What is the cost?
|
The cost for laser engraving and cutting services is $1.25 per minute and a $25.00 setup fee. The setup fee is to take your
file and get it ready for etching or cutting and check its integrity. A setup fee is only charged once per design or setup. Subsequent
"print runs" are only billed for machine time. We will waive your setup fee if your file is ready to go without our need to "fix" anything,
and if your order is $50 or more.
If you are interested in a price quote, use our Orders Upload form and send us the file and request a quote.

* Metal can be marked by applying a solution that leaves the etched portion of the metal black, which is
more accurately described as metal marking. We cannot mark polished metals or stainless steel.
File Preparation Guidelines
- CLEAN VECTOR drawings will produce the best results. For vector engraving, light engraving lines should be set to magenta, medium engraving lines set to green, and heavy engrave lines set to red. "Cut" lines should be blue. All lines should be set to the thinest line width possible.
- We accept EPS, AI, SVG, CDR and most popular vector file formats. Please keep files to a single layer.
- Ensure that your cut and engrave lines are single lines, not double lines. Even if you don't see it, the laser does. Double lines result in double cuts/double etching...
- For Photo Engraving (.JPG, .BMP, .TIF, .PSD) are acceptable. Flatten your TIF and PSD files. Ensure your files have enough resolution for engraving. Same as with print, we need at least 150 dpi to begin with - 300 dpi is preferable.
- For artwork to be scanned first by us see our services and pricing page for details on our scanning process.
